In the 'motivation' part, you describe why it is needed to implement the improvement and what the impact is. For each improvement we need to be able to motivate why it is important to implement it. This will make it easier to prioritise improvements and communicate the change to stakeholders.
It can be helpful to give some background on the idea when describing the motivation. How is the idea originated. Is there a specific event or performance that triggered the idea? Did you get inspired by other companies that implemented this solution already?
Also, its our ambition to reduce as much waste as possible from our processes. Many improvements are linked to reducing waste. Motivate the waste you are removing to explain the importance of the improvement.
